![]() ![]() The brakes are also up to the task, with a good pedal feel and a lot of stopping power. If there was the ability to get a boost of power at these speeds when tackling curves and bends, it would actually be rather fun. ![]() The steering gains a bit of heft and feedback improves. If you have the patience to sit on the accelerator until you get up to a decent speed, this changes. This makes the compact crossover easy to maneuver in traffic or around busy parking lots. At lower speeds, where you're likely to spend most of your time, steering is light and responsive. It handles remarkably well for its size, which just makes the lack of power all the more depressing. You wouldn't be blamed for expecting rather lame driving from the Equinox, considering the feeble outputs of its four-pot powertrain. New exterior colors include Blue Glow Metallic, Seaglass Blue Metallic, Iron Gray Metallic, and the added-cost Cherry Red Tintcoat. All models will have wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, heated exterior power-folding mirrors, and access to front and rear park assist and automatic parking assist. The Premier still tops the range, and it gets a black grille with chrome inserts to announce itself, as well as a premium interior trim finish and a logo-projection liftgate. It sports aggressive black exterior trim, along with 19-inch Dark Android wheels and black interior inserts with red contrast stitching. ![]() At the bottom of the lineup, the previous L model falls away, so the LS is the new entry-level variant. Both the base model and LT receive higher-quality interiors and the all-new RS model slots in above them. This is rounded out with brand-new LED headlamps and daytime running lights. The Equinox now boasts a new front and rear fascia, as well as a more enticing grille design. Instead, the mid-cycle refresh is focused purely on improving the quality of the vehicle. Please do your math when you're there, it's a scam.Much to the disappointment of gold bowtie fans, the Chevrolet Equinox is not seeing a return of the 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. If you don't believe me, just ask them, they readily admit their ads are false and that they lie, the paperwork will prove it. How in the hell is that not a scam? They will only throw the monthly price at you to see if you fall for it. Do the math, even at 10% interest for a loan, they're burying money and screwing you. I do the math and realize that's over $43K for the car when done, financing over $33K (remember, I only needed to finance $11.5K, so their "fees" include somewhere in the neighborhood of over $10K). and they come over with a $461 per month payment for 72 months (I have great credit btw). They'll say "that's the price with 20% down", they'll work up the paperwork and guess what? The car is their internet price + another 20-30%.Īctual example: They listed the car as $23K, I offered 50% down and will finance $11.5K +fees, taxes, etc. When you get there, they will tell you it's the price if you give them $5-7K on top of the price. Go ahead and believe that the price they list is a good deal. Welcome to Power Motors NYC! ![]() First, you need a PC that can run Stardew Valley and probably games higher than your regular grandpa setup. If you want to set up your farming PC, then there’s an easy way to get around it. You can always check out the best monitors for Stardew Valley or gaming in general, really.Ĭheck out our guide for cross-platforming split-screen gaming. It can be any monitor, but just don’t pick any monitor with less than a 60-hertz refresh rate. You need to actually HAVE two monitors to have your split-screen setup. So, first thing’s first, you need to have yourself TWO monitors. ![]()
![]() ![]() The diagram depicts the interaction between the male and female components of a conventional hex drive and a Torx drive. The Torx design allows for a higher torque to be exerted than a similarly sized conventional hex socket head without damaging the head or the tool. Rather than rely on the tool to slip out of the screw head when a desired torque level is reached (which risks damage to the driver tip, screw head, or workpiece), torque-limiting driver designs achieve a desired torque consistently. ![]() The development of better torque-limiting automatic screwdrivers for use in factories allowed this change. Whereas the tendency of Phillips drivers to cam out under excessive torque has been listed as a feature preventing damage to the screw-head or driver, Torx heads were designed to prevent cam-out. (Exaggerated for illustrational purposes)īy design, Torx head screws resist cam out better than Phillips head or slot head screws. Principles of operation The angle between the plane of contact between tool and fastener and the circumferentially directed force is much closer to 90° in a Torx type of head (lower) than in a conventional hex head (upper). Torx screws are also becoming increasingly popular in construction industries. Initially, they were sometimes used in applications requiring tamper resistance, since the drive systems and screwdrivers were not widely available as drivers became more common, tamper-resistant variants, as described below, were developed. Torx screws are commonly found on automobiles, motorcycles, bicycle brake systems ( disc brakes), hard disk drives, computer systems and consumer electronics. Torx Plus, Torx Paralobe and Torx ttap are improved head profiles. This is sometimes abbreviated in databases and catalogs as 6lobe (starting with the numeral 6, not the capital letter G). The official generic name, standardized by the International Organization for Standardization as ISO 10664, is hexalobular internal. A popular generic name for the drive is star, as in star screwdriver or star bits. Torx (pronounced / t ɔːr k s/) is a trademark for a type of screw drive characterized by a 6-point star-shaped pattern, developed in 1967 by Camcar Textron. A Torx T8 screw head on a hard disk drive. Restarting with new ram was laggy for 5 minutes and now it is zippy. Pulling the power supply was the most difficult thing because wasn't sure how much force to give. I hope they don't notice if I ever had to return this. ![]() There are lots of little scratches now on this once pristine shielding. UPDATE 2: I manged to get the last screw off with a rubber band and needle-nosed pliers. I either stripped the bottom right screw with the wrong bit a few days ago, or it isn't a T6. I am really hoping it's just because of the lack of ram and not the lack of an i7, and that me making some budgetary restraints will not irritate my mac mini experience in the long run. I'd say the initial mac os install took an extra 10-15 minutes as well compared to the i7. With only 8gb ram it was swapping almost a whole 1gb during the installs. ![]() It took about double the time as the i7 and actually froze for xcode. (I blew those savings on Prime day peripherals already) Since I'm waiting for the new torx bits to arrive I decided to (re) install xcode and visual studio. I was going to get another i7, but when you see an extra $260 in your cart going from i5 to i7 you reevaluate some of your life choices lol. It was overkill for my supposed needs reading the posts in the sub. On a side note, I exchanged my overspec'd 2018 i7 32gb/1tb for an i5 8gb/256gb. The memory upgrade procedure should probably be a sticky somewhere. The T6 must be the security version with the hole in the middle. I thought I had a proper set like the ifixit one, but apparently I did not. TIL the hard way that apparently there are Torx screwdrivers, star screwdrivers, TR6 screwdrivers, T6H screwdrivers, Torx security screwdrivers, and Torx Hex screwdrivers. ![]() |
